Sale Sharks Director of Rugby Philippe Saint-Andre has today announced that Jason Robinson will captain the side this season.
Jason joined the Sharks in October 2000 from Wigan Rugby League Club and has played over 80 games for the club.
Philippe Saint-Andre said "Jason is one of the games top players who has the respect of everyone in the game.He has a winning mentality and I enjoy working with him on a day to day basis. I am sure he will lead the side well next season."
Jason Robinson said " It is an honour to be asked to lead the club next season. I enjoy playing for Sale Sharks and have led the side as stand in captain on several occasions. It's a big responsibility but I am looking forward to it. It's the first time in my career as a professional rugby player that I have been named as team captain before the season begins ."
