The England Rugby Supporters Club are holding a special Countdown to the Commonwealth event at Twickenham on Monday night (20th), with coaches and players from the England Sevens squad. England have just returned from Los Angeles where they won the LA Sevens for the first time, and depart for the Commonwealth Games early next month. You don't have to be a member of ERSC to attend - all rugby fans are invited to attend the event which will enable you to find out more about the shorterned version of the game, plus quiz coaches Mike Friday and Phil Greening on who might make the Commonwealth Games squad. Several members of the England Sevens squad including Ugo Monye (NEC Harlequins) and Nils Mordt (London Irish) will be there on Monday night to answer your questions. The event is being held in the ERIC Room at Twickenham Stadium from 7pm onwards and costs just £12. That will include food and drink, plus a full evening programme. As well as meeting some of the players, you can hear from the coaches (Mike Friday and former England and Wasps hooker Phil Greening) about the role of sevens, and find out first hand what it is like playing in the one of the world's biggest sporting events - the Commonwealth Games. To book your place call Ed Dawes at the ERSC on 020 8831 6567. |
