Amor the merrier - Simon's lunch date with the Queen

Simon Amor will take another unforgettable step in his fairytale year on Friday when he will have lunch with Her Majesty the Queen.
The half-back, who was unheard of 12 months ago, has blossomed in the sevens environment, including captaining the side when they won the Hong Kong leg of the IRB World Series in March.
But before he and his 11 squad-mates bid for gold in the City of Manchester Stadium next week, the Cambridge University student will represent the whole of Team England at a prestigious lunch in the Games Village.
Amor, who is joining Zurich Premiership club Gloucester next season, said: "When John Elliott (team manager) told me about it I thought he was joking. I am very much looking forward to it. Twelve months ago I was just a student at Cambridge University and here I am playing in the Commonwealth Games and having lunch with the Queen! It's amazing how things happen."
However, this is not the first time he has mixed with royalty, adding: "About a year ago I was at Cambridge and I met the Duke of Edinburgh and he was fantastic - but I don't think he will remember me."
