Narrow loss for England

England finish the first day of the Emirates Airline South Africa Sevens with a loss to New Zealand in the last moments of the match. Simon Hunt, Ben Foden, Tom Guest, Isoa Damu all scored tries but it was not enough to seal the win.

England were dealt a big blow by the Kenyans this afternoon at the Emirates Airline South Africa Sevens, England were beaten 17 points to 7 putting doubt over their cup quarter-final place.

England 24 Zimbabwe 7
England started their Emirates Airline South Africa Sevens campaign with a victory, the Dubai Cup semi-finalists overcoming Zimbabwe 24-7 with Joe Simpson, captain Andy Vilk, Tom Youngs and Jack Adams scoring tries. Tangai Nemadire crossed for Zimbabwe to the biggest cheer of the match.
