England win Bowl in Wellington
England finished a disappointing Wellington tournament in positive style by beating Argentina 12-7 to win the Bowl. The Pumas dominated possession and territory in the first half and were rewarded just before the break with a try by Alejandro Abadie. However, England hit back through Anthony Elliot (Bristal) before giant wing Matt Banahan (Bath) crashed over for the decisive score.
England recovered from the disappointment of losing against the Cook Islands, Wales and Fiji on day one to beat Canada and France en route to the final, while the Pumas saw off Kenya and then the Cooks.
England now move on to the USA for the IRB San Diego Sevens which take place on the 9 & 10 February 2008
