ii) Commercial/Sponsor requests Requests from England sponsors and other commercial partners will fall under section 12 - Other. For international matches their requirements will be accommodated by the RFUs retained photographer. Briefs should be sent in advance to the RFU. Where this is not possible or where all requests cannot be accommodated by one person, the RFU will make alternative arrangements. A small fee will be charged for this service, in return photos will be available to use on a rights free basis.
iii) Annual Passes Annual passes will be issued ONLY to photographers from categories 1-6. Anyone outside these categories will still be welcome to apply for a day pass and will be considered on a game by game basis.
iv) Application Deadlines All applications for international matches must be received by the deadline. Applications received after the deadline WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. There will be no exceptions.
v) Confirmation All applicants will receive an e-mail to confirm whether or not their application has been successful within two days of the closing date. This will be sent to the address provided on the application form. No advance confirmation can be provided.
vi) Personnel changes and non attendance In exceptional circumstances passes may be transferred between individuals within an agency/company. Any requests much be sent in advance to the RFU. Failure to attend without prior notice will result in future requests being turned down.
vii) Car Parking Car parking requests should be submitted at the time of application. As spaces are limited, late requests cannot be guaranteed. Parking passes represent a significant cost to the Union, therefore failure to collect them without prior notice will result in future requests being turned down.
viii) Pitchside Access All pitchside media (TV and photographers) will be required to wear bibs as well as passes to ensure security can clearly identify them. Bibs for TV rights holders will be given out in advance with accreditation. Bibs for other crews and photographers must be collected from the RFU photographers’ co-ordinator in the photographers’ room on match day.
viv) Pitch Access Pitch access will only be given to one UK photographer (Getty Images) and rights holding TV (one camera only). Those with pitch access will be required to wear a sash to indicate this to security.
x) Commentary Gantry Access For any photographer wishing to take photos from an elevated position at any time, a limited number of seats on the commentary gantry (west stand level 4) will be made available. Requests for these seats should be indicated on application forms or made in advance to the RFU.
xi) Bibs Pitchside bibs should be collected from the photographers’ room and are allocated on a priority basis. All day pass holders must hand in some photo ID to get a bib. This can be collected once the bib is returned.
