England v Pacific Islanders - 8th November 2008

 
 

The Pacific Islanders rugby team is made up of players that represent three rugby teams; Fiji, Samoa and Tonga.  Fiji reached the quarter finals of the Rugby World Cup 2007 and both Tonga and Samoa featured in England’s pool.

The Pacific Islanders have toured twice in the last four years - in 2004 the first Pacific Islanders played Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and in 2006 they played Wales, Scotland and Ireland. 

This year, they will play England for the first time on 8th November then France the following week.

The Pacific Islanders have just announced their touring squad, which features 10 UK based players (9 in the Guinness Premiership and 1 in National One).  To read the full list of players click here
