Moseley Award

Moseley Rugby Club’s minis and juniors section has been awarded the RFU’s Seal of Approval certificate, with Moseley only the third club in Greater Birmingham to achieve the status and only the twelfth in the North Midlands.

Jim Barton, chairman of Moseley minis and juniors thanked his committee and the coaching teams and officials, Richard Webb at Birmingham Active Sports and Gary Meechan, the North Midlands Rugby Development Officer, for their help in securing the award, presented by Colin Major, Hon Youth Chairman of RFU Midland Counties.

Said Colin, “We are certain that those many children and their parents in the City of Birmingham attracted to play rugby by our World Cup success can be assured of a safe and caring club environment at Moseley Rugby Club.”

More than 200 youngsters from U7 to 18 years train and play under the guidance of expert coaches every Sunday morning. Any youngster is free to come along - further details can be obtained from Moseley’s website at www.moseleyrugby.co.uk.
