Parker Pen Letter Of The Month

Dear Patricia,
My name is Michael and I am 8 years old. I play rugby for Datchworth and support Saracens. When I was watching the Saracens v Leicester game, I had a good idea. My Uncle Hugh at The Independent said I should send it to you.

My idea is that when a player is sent off the field to the ‘Sin Bin’, I think that they should be in a place where they can’t see or hear the match - like a soundproofed box. This is the reason. When Martin Johnson was sent off, he had 10 minutes to watch the game and see where Saracens’ weak points were so he could get his team to play through their weak points when he got back on the field. The ‘Sin Bin’ should be a real punishment and isolate the naughty players.

What do you think?

Yours Sincerely
Michael Bateson
