Parker Pen Letter Of The Month

Dear Touchline
Whilst refereeing at the weekend I was the victim of a crime which I would like to warn my fellow referees about.

Refereeing in Cheshire, I locked all my valuables out of sight in the car, and put my keys in my kit bag. The changing room was locked but during the game or the warm up someone entered the referee’s changing room and stole my keys from my bag. They then took my car along with laptop, customer files, mobile phone, wallet, spare kit (I had been at a junior festival on Friday) and personal clothes as I was spending the weekend in Nottingham. Northwich Rugby Club was also raided of clothes, wallets and phones, and my car was used as the getaway.

I learned the hard way - please do not let it happen to you. Give your keys to someone to look after.

Please circulate this and if you are offered a cheap BMW (probably a different colour by now) and a cheap laptop, let me know.

Darryl W. Chapman

Hope the Parker pen will help - Ed
