Presentations were made by ERFSU President, David Franklin, on Daily Mail Schools’ Day to guests who had made a longstanding and worthwhile contribution to schools’ rugby over many years. Recipients of the Services Schools’ Rugby Award were: Bill Bingham, Schoolmaster, Dorset & Wilts; John Dougal, Schoolmaster, Bristol Schools; John Davis, Schoolmaster, ERFSU 16G Assistant Coach; and Rose & Peter Tanner, Rosslyn Park RFC, the organisers of the National Schools’ Sevens.

Recipients of ERFSU Honorary Life Membership were:John Elders, Schoolmaster, England Schools 19G Coach, England Senior Int.Coach, Lions Coach; Mike Williams, Schoolmaster, ERFSU 16G Coach, 18G Coach; and Ray Milner, Worcestershire Schools, the Midlands, ERFSU 18G Hon. Secretary and ERSFU Assistant Secretary.
