England Women Students kicked off the year at King Henry VIII School, Coventry, taking on a more experienced USA U23 team which secured a 12-25 win, despite a spirited and gutsy showing from the Students.

The England players continually disrupted and attacked the USA team and tries came from Emma Bolton of Liverpool John Moores University and Kate Barnes of Loughborough University (pictured far right), with Nancy Stone of the University of Gloucester adding a conversion.
