The England v France match day was used as an opportunity by a French family to donate some very valuable items to the Museum of Rugby.
The 1911 France cap, 1911 France jersey and 1912 Wales jersey were presented by the family of Xavier Dutour who played in some of the earliest French matches, including their first ever visit to Twickenham in 1911. The exchange was made between the Presidents of the respective Unions in the presence of the great player’s grandson - also named Xavier Dutour.
