Members of the Combined Services Rugby Referees travelled north to referee in the first ever ‘Royal Scots Sevens’ in Edinburgh. Sixteen teams from both the local community and the Army took part in a highly competitive competition, eventually won by the hosts in true dynamic style.

The referees coming from the three services teamed up for the competition, assisted by three SRU Premiership referees and officiated with the minimum of fuss with compliments from the players, coaches and the enthusiastic crowd. The overseas loan service Australian referee helped out by acquiring refreshments in the only way he knew - grab it and run (pictured).
