Referees Review

Eastern Counties get their specs on

Simon Hodgkinson, capped 14 times by England, including Rugby World Cup 1991, was in Norwich recently to help the Eastern Counties Referees Society launch their recruitment campaign to attract new referees.

Eastern Counties referees are particularly looking to welcome and recruit young referees and women referees. With the high media exposure for Rugby World Cup, the Society launched their recruitment initiative at Julian Gunn Opticians in Norwich city centre with a window display and presentation of kit from new sponsors, AggBag Limited, who are suppliers of bagged aggregates. The sponsorship attracted an £1,800 Sportsmatch award.

The picture shows Paul Varvel, Managing Director of AggBag, Simon Hodgkinson and Graham Cross of Eastern Counties Federation in front of the window display.
