Premier Rugby have launched a consultation document entitled ‘Investing in Our Futures’ looking into the future funding of premiership club stadia. ‘Investing in our Futures’ is an attempt to seek input and support from a range of stakeholders with the aim of creating a new Rugby Trust, which would channel public and private funds to create new and improve existing facilities for the benefit of fans, players and local communities. The Rugby Trust would be modelled on the Football Trust which generated Government funding for improving football stadia in the 1990s.
