One of the Museum of Rugby’s most recent purchases was picked up at auction and is a large advertising poster from the 1920s.
Gone are the days when tobacco and rugby went hand in hand but apparently this particular “Superfine Shagg” was stuffed into a good few pipes thanks to its association with the game. The poster will be on display in the Museum of Rugby by Christmas.
