Over 80% of clubs are now online and there are more than 80,000 persons entered on Constituent Bodies’ (CBs) and clubs’ RFU web pages. As a result of representations made by the E-Day Task Group, supported by CBs and clubs, Touchline will now continue to be published after E-Day. After July the numbers distributed will be reduced but copies will be mailed directly to key officials. A reader friendly version will be available online and extra copies can be downloaded and printed.
A Community Rugby ezine (a short electronic newsletter containing useful information and web links) is already being sent monthly via email to all CB and club officials entered on their RFU web pages. The E-Day Task Group has taken steps to ensure after E-Day that there will only be a single RFU ezine to ensure that CBs and clubs will not be subjected to an information overload.
In order to save time and make it easier for CB and club administrators to download forms, regulations, funding information, etc, the E-Day Task Group has requested that a dedicated page containing links to download forms and regulations is added to clubs’ and CBs’ own web pages. Steps have also been taken to reduce the file size of RFU templates containing logos by 70%. This will reduce time taken to download them by a similar amount.
Regional Press Officers have been provided with a simple questionnaire to help facilitate feedback from CBs and clubs on E-Day topics. A copy of the questionnaire can be obtained from Dave Barton, email: davebarton@rfu.com. |
