Hawks soaring sponsorship success

By Noel Armstead, Henley RFC Press Officer

Specialist contract recruitment firm, Leapfrog Consultancy Group Ltd, has become the main sponsor of National Division One rugby team, Henley Hawks.

Aubrey Doran, Henley RFC’s Marketing Director says, “In addition to extra funding for club development, the Hawks’ team members will enjoy a brand new fleet of cars - all strikingly liveried with the club’s golden Hawk and the distinctive Leapfrog logo. There will be no excuse for missing training now!”

Leapfrog has a long association with rugby, directors Andrew Green and Michael Allen both having played at national level, and the Stonor-based company is looking forward to supporting the Henley Hawks in a gripping close to the current season and to sharing the excitement of a new season into 2005. Leapfrog will also be supporting Henley RFC’s community development scheme.

Andrew Green and Michael Allan say, “Henley has a wonderful heritage and the Hawks have a powerful presence in the national game We are also looking forward to adding our support to Henley RFC’s involvement in tag rugby, its programme of school visits and tournaments, and to the club’s initiative to recruit for the women’s XV.”

Henley’s major employer INVESCO PERPETUAL also recently announced an important three year sponsorship. Said Aubrey Doran, “We both want to develop good relations within the local community and, in particular, to encourage and support local youngsters leading active lives and developing their sporting capabilities.”

Said Rick White, Marketing Director of INVESCO PERPETUAL, “It is extremely important to us to give something back to the local community and we try to support local initiatives wherever possible.”
