Centenary success
Vice-captain Ryan Davis, from Colston’s Collegiate School in Bristol, eased England 18-Group Schools to a 20-10 victory over Wales in the schools’ centenary match at Welford Road.
The full back, part of the Daily Mail U18s championship winning side, kept England’s score-board ticking over after Oliver Mansbridge’s superb try from a kick and chase handed the youngsters an early lead. Davis converted before adding a penalty and a drop goal just before half time.
Wales broke the deadlock after the restart with an early penalty, but England responded with their second try when Tom Croft crashed over the try-line and Davis converted. Wales had the final word with a 75th minute converted try. |
