Beginning in 1998, Nike's sponsorship involves supplying apparel for all of England's representative teams from the senior team to the schools' representative XV and from England management to all Regional Development Officers (RDOs) nationwide. It has also been instrumental in working with the England coaching team to help them develop new and innovative training methods, and is committed to giving England real advantage on the pitch. Innovations such as high-tenacity Dri-Fit fabrics for the game shirts and shorts designed for specific positional needs have moved traditional rugby kit on light years. In conjunction with the RDOs, Nike also sponsors 35 clinics for young players around the country, bringing along England players to inspire and coach the kids taking part.
