Amanda Bate was a full time Homeopath and became a rugby volunteer 6 years ago when two of her sons, then aged 14years began playing rugby at Hemel Hempstead RFC. She became more and more involved with club development and business sponsorship, and eventually reduced her occupation as a Homeopath to become a 1 day a week W&G RDO for the Herts. Sports Partnership. This post lasted three years, during which time Amanda helped club and county rugby for girls to develop. Funding for the post was ending and so Amanda made the decision to give up Homeopathy and try and find a full time post within rugby. She was delighted when she was offered the position of Women’s Rugby Development Manager, with the RFUW for the East and South East Regions.
