Graham Smith started playing rugby with the Wolverhampton RFC in 1977 with their colts and moved straight into the 1^st XV. He remained with the squad until 1982 when he went to play for the Moseley RFC 1^st XV, playing over 250 games. He has played for Staffordshire County (all levels, Captain for the seniors), Midlands division v USA Eagles 1986, England U23’s tour to Spain 1984, Anglo Scots 1988-1992, Scotland B 1989-1991, Scotland A 1990-1991 and the Full Scotland tour to North America 1991.

Graham spent 8 years as a YDO and then an RDO for the RFU, and was Academy Assistant Manager for the Worcester England Rugby Academy. Having achieved all of his RFU Coaching Levels, he is now 1 of 10 coaches set to pilot the new Level 5 award. Prior to joining the England Women’s coaching staff, Graham coached Wolverhampton (1994-1995), Stourbridge - National League Four (1995-1999), Moseley - National League One 2000-2002, Worcester U21/U19’s - U21’s Premiership League (2002 & 2004), National U17 development programme (1999-2004) and England U18 Club’s (2002 – 2004).
