The RFUW require all women & girl’s team’s to register before each season. In addition all youth players must be registered before they can play games involving contact. Please find below some useful information and links.
Age bands for youth players.
As of the 1st September 2004 the age bandings for youth teams have been split into two:
Lower Age Band – Girls U14
Upper Age Band – Girls U17

What about insurance?
All teams have to be insured with Marsh, the information is sent to all men’s club contacts by Marsh and RFUW stand alone teams. If your team is connected to a men’s club then please make sure you contact the men’s insurance representative to ensure no duplication. The information can be viewed by following insurance or you can contact them directly:

Do players have to be registered? If so how?
Yes, youth players must be registered to a youth team before they play games which involve contact. Please go to youth player registration info to find out how. It is advisable that if you have not already done so, read youth age band information before registering players.
Where can I obtain player registration forms?
If you need forms please contact your county youth registrar for them or they can be requested by emailing RFUWAffiliation@therfu.com stating your club and number required. Once forms are completed they must be returned to the address below.

Change of details
Remember it is your responsibility to inform the RFUW of any change to your Club’s officials as early as possible. This will allow the RFUW to have an up to date mailing list which will ensure that your club receives all important information that is sent to you. In order to facilitate this please complete Form 9 and send it to the address on the form.
