Revival of county rugby - Lancashire, Cheshire, Yorkshire

The RFU and RFUW development staff have been working in partnership to develop Women and Girls Rugby Union in the North West. After much consultation, it's been decided to revive and restore the county structure for Senior Women.

Anyone over the age of 17 years old on 1st Sept 2004 is eligible to play, as are those players selected for Super 4's.

It is hoped that the sides will consist of the best players in the county, so we are inviting you to trials:

Cheshire: Northwich RUFC 7-8:30pm Monday 6th Sept.

Lancashire: Vale of Lune RUFC 7-8:30pm Tuesday 7th Sept.

Eligibility to either Lancashire or Cheshire is mainly based on the county your club is in, but can be on your address. Each women's club should have received information with regards to nominating players for trials.

The majority of fixtures and training sessions will take place on a Monday night so won't interfere with club rugby.
Yorkshire's programme will be confirmed shortly.

For more information on the Lancashire or Cheshire programmes, please contact Caroline Wolfendale at cwolfendale@myerscough.ac.uk or 07904 187851
