| Sale Sharks have joined together with the Rugby Football Union for Women to host a night dedicated to Womens Rugby. On Friday 24th September, when Sale Sharks entertain Premiership New Boys Worcester Warriors at Edgeley Park, there will be a celebration of Womens Rugby.
Sale Sharks are inviting all the Women Rugby Clubs from around the North West to take part in a Parade around the pitch before the match, to celebrate the growth of Womens Rugby in the area. Also, Sandbach’s newly formed Under 14s girls squad will be changing the face of ballboys for ever, when they become ‘Ball Girls’ for the night.
Caroline Wolfendale, the North West Contact for the RFUW said “The demand for womens and girls rugby is growing daily, and hopefully the publicity we can generate through Sale Sharks will help us find enthusiastic volunteers and coaches to provide rugby in a safe, friendly environment.”
