All regional trials will be held on Sunday January 30th
Please Note – this is not a league date
We are still in the process of finalising some regional trial venues, further information will be posted on the website when available. Times and directions will also be posted on the website nearer the time.
Senior Programme: Key Points
- The Senior Regional Programme will be competition based, with regions competing to become the ‘Regional Championship Winners’. Inter-regional matches will be player over the duration of the regional programme (Jan-April)
- The final match of the senior regional programme will be played as a ‘Curtain Raiser’ to England vs. South Africa in May and will determine the overall winner.
- The London & SE Region will be split in two regions, A & B.
London & South East (A): This area includes Hampshire, Kent, Sussex Surrey, IOW. It will also include schools/colleges/universities located ‘south’ of the River Thames’ and located in aforementioned counties.
London & South East (B): This area will include clubs in Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex. It will also include schools/colleges/Universities located ‘north’ of the River Thames’ and located in the aforementioned counties (i.e. Middlesex)
- There will one combined South West Senior team
- The exact format of the programme has yet to be decided, as it will be determined by the number of Senior Regional Teams established after the trials on 30th Jan 2005

Junior Programme: Key Points
- The Junior Regional Programme is forms an integral part of the RFUW talent identification process and offers opportunities for players to develop and progress within the game
- The RFUW are committed to working to provide the best environment for player development through training and appropriate competition to maximise player potential.
- Following 4 training sessions, Junior Regional teams will play one tri/quad-angular tournament in March before taking part in the U17 Regional Festival in April and the U14 festival in May.
