Absolutely . . . get rid of them, the metal ones, that is. At what point is the IRB & the RFU going to listen to the grass roots of rugby and stop pandering to the major sponsors. I know that they may put a great deal of money into the game (?) but with the resources at their fingertips, surely they can find a safer way of increasing the grip in bliddy rugby boots.

i think they should not be aloud as i got 6 sticths from a booth and a mate got 40 in the head when he was stamp on by a pair
