Harlequin Amateurs Seeking Head Coach - Senior Rugby - for SEASON 2009/10 onwards.

Having been promoted last season and currently joint top of Herts / Middx 1, Harlequin Amateurs are looking for a Head Coach to take over from our current coach at the start of the 2009/10 season (from July 1st 2009).

Our current coach will be stepping down at the end of this season to concentrate on bringing up his young family, but will remain active in the club to help transition!

Ideally you will be RFU Level 2 qualified with huge enthusiasm for the game. Your priority will be to further develop the 1st Team, while ensuring that all players across our 3 (maybe 4) teams get quality coaching and development (2 other coaches assisting).

You will need to be available on Monday and Wednesday evenings for training at St. Marys University (Twickenham) and of course on Saturdays.

We will also be running mini rugby from 2009 and there is an opportunity to assist with this, although we will also be seeking a Head Coach for mini rugby as well.

The Club is committed to ensuring that all our coaches have the opportunity to develop their skills and we will sponsor the right candidate through their coaching qualifications.

Please contact andy_brampton@harlequinrugby.co.uk to register your interest in this position.

Newcastle Ravens RFC are looking for a new coach. We are mainly a development team, aimed at getting more players involved in rugby, and as such many players are in their 20s, new to the game and keen to develop their skills. We are a RFU registered club but not within a local league as yet.

We train and play at the Novos ground (The Drive, Benton, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE7 7SY) on Monday evenings. We also have fitness sessions on Saturdays when there is no fixture.

If interested please contact our chairman Dave Burke (email dave_r_burke@hotmail.com or call 07815953742). More info on our team at www.newcastleravens.co.uk

Coaching

My name is Alec L Theunissen, male, 43 and currently living in South Africa but will be moving to the United Kindom in July 2009 after the Springboks has lost against the Lions.... ;-)) You never know what can happen. I am moving into Kent county, very close to Cranbrook.

I currently have a IRB level 2 certificate and i am totally rugby mad. I will do early next year my IRB Level 3 course (hopefully before i leave South Africa). Currently coaching at one of the clubs here in Johannesburg. As a Managing Director of a company in Johannesburg we were for last two years sponsors of the Golden Lions 7,s rugby team, a Super 14 team in South Africa. The sponsorship was under the name of S.E.P CapitaL. Some of the youngsters will be playing for the Lions next year in the Super 14. Proudly i can say i was in charge of the B and C team. Goods boys!!!

I really want to be part of a club not to far away from Cranbrook, say 15 to 20 miles to help with coaching on a senior level. Not sure about my times as yet, but it will be flexable as my company is in the BVI and not going to be based in London as a financial services provider to international clients, however i do need to travel on a regular basis, but know at least a couple of weeks before hand.

If any club is interested in my services please be in contact.

University of Portsmouth Rugby Club

The University of Portsmouth Rugby club is looking for coaches to help build on the success of the last four years. In that time the club has increased in size from 2 to 4 men's teams playing in BUCS (formerly BUSA) Leagues and 1 women's team. Additionally all the club's teams have won league or cup competitions in that time.

After two promotions in the previous two seasons the first team finished third in their first year in South East 1A last. This year the First Team will be pushing for promotion against the likes of Reading, Brunel and St Mary's.

The club has two twin and equally important objectives. To provide the opportunity to play for all and to achieve sustained playing success on the field.

As such the club is about to become one of the performance target sports at the University with increased support but also increased expectations and targets.

To help meet this challenge we are looking for coaches to work with the club. There are a range of opportunities open suitable for coaches of all levels.

We are looking for coaches with proven track records to work with the first and second team squad. In particular expertise in back play. Ideally you will have a minimum of a level 2 coaching qualification and experience of working at county or club/school first team level.

In addition we are looking for coaches to work with our third, fourth, freshers and women's teams. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain a first experience in coaching either a player looking to move into coaching (possibly whilst still playing on a Saturday) or someone who has coached at Junior level and wants to gain experience in the fifteen man adult game.

Renumeration is available for the right candidates working with the 1st and 2nd teams. The club will look to provide coaches support in their continuing professional development, both through mentoring support and support in attending coaching workshops and courses.

The club's head coach is a RFU level 3 coach and is a RFU coach Educator and will be happy to support you in your personal development.

The club trains on a Monday night from 6pm - 8.30pm at Portsmouth RFC. The club's first training session is October 5th after trials on Friday October 2nd.

If you are interested or require further details please contact Nick Parker, Community Rugby Coach on 07843 343518 or at nicholas.parker@port.ac.uk

Melton Mowbray RFC are looking for a new coach to take them forward into the new season following the departure due to business commitments of the current encumbant.

We are currently in Midlands 2 East (level 6) but look certain to be relegated to Level 7 for the start of the season 2008 / 9.
We are looking for a qualified coach to at least RFU level 2 / 3 standard to bring innovative ideas and a new impetus in order to move us forward and back into the higher leagues.

Melton Mowbray run 5 sides at the moment and have a strong Colts side coming through next season, these also need to be included in the programme.

This is a part time position wages are negotiable and we all do all we can to help the successful applicant.

Please apply in the first instant including you CV to.
