HARLEQUIN AMATEURS RUGBY CLUB

Assistant Rugby Coach Required

Must be RFU Level 1 qualified or above.

The Role

Harlequin Amateurs are having a storming 2007/08 season, having merged with Lockside RFC over the summer, we have been blown away by the number of new players joining our setup (over 30 new players so far this season of varying standards and 2 or 3 new players arriving each week), to this end our existing coaching structure is starting to get stretched and we are seeking to appoint a 2nd team / backs coach to assist and support our Playing Manager and guest coaches.

The new coach will help integrate new players into the club and ensure that players new to the game are given all the support they need to develop their talent.

We train on Wednesday evenings at St. Mary's University in Strawberry Hill (between Twickenham and Teddington) and play our games there or at Broom Road in Teddington.

This club is very ambitious - aiming for 2 promotions in the next 3 seasons, we have a very active committee, committed team captains and occasional guest coaches from Harlequin FC.

We are an incredibly sociable club with a superb clubhouse over looking the Thames at Teddington Lock and we will ensure that any coaches joining us are suitably rewarded for their efforts, we will also sponsor them as they develop their own coaching qualifications.

We have just been made ' Rugby World Magazine Team of the Month for September' having been unbeaten during the month.

This role will be ideal for somebody that has completed their level one training or higher and wants to get involved with a 'new' club.

Candidates that can make Wednesday Training and travel with the teams on Saturday's are preferred. Informal interviews being held now.

Please contact andy_brampton@harlequinrugby.co.uk in the first instance!

GIRLS RUGBY COACHES SOUGHT - SOUTH LONDON/SURREY BORDERS

Bulls Girls (30+ U15s and circa 20 U18s) are seeking coaches for the 2007/8 season. In our first season last year the u18s finished with an even win/loss record while the U15s finished third in London and South East Div 1. Both age groups have a good number of county and county standard players.

Bulls Rugby are seeking two coaches (expenses can be paid) who are seeking to establish their coaching credentials with an emerging Girls Club. We are expanding fast and probably have more players than most other Girls Clubs in the South of England. Prior coaching experience or recent qualification as a level 1 coach would be desirable and CRB clearance will be essential.

The club is based in Poulter Park, Carshalton and is the Girls section of Mitcham Rugby Club. We currrently train on Tuesday nights 6-8pm but this can be changed if required. Matches are played on Sunday lunchtimes mainly around the M25 area.

The appointment is on a voluntary basis but travel expenses can be discussed if required. Complimentary membership to the club is also paid for by the ladies section for all coaching staff.

Through the close connection with the main club, this appointed coach may also have the chance to potentially get involved with coaching some of the senior men's teams, colts or mini sections. Similarly, we have strong links with local schools, and for the right candidate we may be able to establish several paid coaching sessions a week with these schools.

Finally for those wishing to pursue coaching qualifications, the ladies section will fund RFU approved coaching courses for its coaching staff.

Please reply in the first instance to me, Damian Brady, Girls Coach, and I can give you more details if required before arranging for you to meet for an informal chat.

Thank you.
