non-existent if we are going for an accurate assesment.

NBHmark3 Mon, 04 August 08 13:35 GMT

and despite the lack of photographic evidence it is strangely comforting to have the annoyance back showing the same level of accuracy that led to the fateful wager in the first place.

A wager that was famed throughout the rugby world and yet so far not paid.

Just a simple phote Mr K, five years almost to the day you, unbidden, made your famous pronoucement and staked your reputation (small as it is).

SA deservedly won in Durban.
First time ever that each team won its home games.

I think it was about time that South Africa had won the Tri nations, they played the best rugby through the 3N,and was well awarded for that

jimbobson Sat, 21 August 04 19:16 GMT

I like that result

edrainger Fri, 20 August 04 10:13 GMT

fast eddie, it always is predominantly the home team who wins in 3N but last time we won 3N 2000/2001 we won last game in SA.

yep,

Home advantage has it this 3N. If SA can beat the AB this weekend they will beat the wobblies next.

Son of Aussie Rob Fri, 13 August 04 08:30 GMT

NZ to win by 5.
When push comes to shove I think the AB's have got more ticker.

Not sure on that one King, thinking that if the boks win this weekend, which is highly likely, they will probably take the 3N.

Home side advantage seems to be the key, but we can only wait for this weekend i guess.

If the AB's win... That last game is going to be awesome!

mkking(2) Thu, 12 August 04 05:02 GMT

Boks will beat NZ this weekend but with a 3N trophy on offer OZ will shade SA.

Having seen the Bokke this year you would have noted the drubbing the Wallaby front row gave them in the second half in Perth.

Where are all the critics who consider S12 a circus, some of the defence in this years Tri-Nations has been outstanding.

whegan Wed, 11 August 04 17:30 GMT

Beep,

Made a judgement on what I thought was good foundation. I was wrong, and I admit it. I am not suprised however that I have been proved wrong, the Ozzies have a distinct nack of beating teams when they are least expected to, just look at the Semi-Final last year!

I have to say, Tuquiri is a great player, every time I see him he seems to improve. Larkham is playing the best rugby of his life, and Rathbone is quite a find. Nathan Sharp has got a bit future, but I still think that the Ozzies are so vunerable in the front-row and the standard of refereeing in that area has been apauling. The Ozzies have been buckling under pressure and the penalty has been going their way....this has got to be sorted!

Have been away for a 10 days i was not avoiding the comments.

However, having seen the Boks this year I am still backing them to win their home games. They are starting to look strong again!

mkking(2) Wed, 11 August 04 05:15 GMT

SA 27 NZ 21 ( it could be more)

Spencer and Carter dropped for Mehrtens and Tuitopo

Matfield and van Niekirk return for SA
Britz at 7 must be a ruse sureley?
Should be a cracker

Will, Ed(derainged),

Where are you. You were both so adamant that the Bok and the AB's would bury the men in gold. Come on girls, fess up. Your innate hate of all things OZ has clouded your judgment once again. The Wallabies are the most successful team of the pro era. Accept it or at least shut up. You are embarrassing your lilywhite friends.:-)

swh Tue, 10 August 04 07:07 GMT

I'm not very good at this am I?!

But we move on to this weekend. SA vs NZ. Since i have come about as close as a Spencer shot at goal so far, I think I'll forgo the exact score and go for points differential again.

NZ 4 points.
