The cancer of the English game. Everyone rants on about the speed of ball we get. They blame the scrum half, the back-row, the Guinness Premiership, just about anything, but this ridiculous trend towards squeeze-ball is the major reason for slow ball. There is a time and a place for it. When you're under pressure in a defensive position and you need to give support that extra split second. Our backs seem to use it all the time, that may very well be down to poor body positioning in contact, or it may be a coaching directive. Considering Mike Ford is on the coaching staff. (I still find it astonishing that I'm mentioning Mike Ford in regards to rugby, never mind at international level) That would not surprise me.
