Didds, down in deepest West Cornwall we usually refer to the region east from a line drawn from St Agnes to Falmouth,as
South Devon!

A Chopper is a man born and dragged up in the ancient tin mining town of Redruth.

Chopper - where are Choppers from? I always assumed you were associating yourself with Chopper Harris, the Chelsea hardman of the 60's and 70's. It now seems to be a geographical term that my former Geog teacher inexplicably failed to impart.

Yes, Simon, Truro is pretty near Plymouth as far as we're concerned.

West from a line drawn from St Agnes to Falmouth is usually accepted as Cornwall . . . .so Denzil tells me, and he should know as a born and bred St Just man. I'm a Chopper, we just keep to ourselves.

I say! That's a bit below the belt. Penalty to us!

Get her to scrum down with your daughter . . . or are they more fleet of foot?

Have just checked, the Rugby Refs' channel is back. Must've paid the gas bill and thanks for the chat!

<<can't you get your daughter interested in a man's game? >>

No trouble there - she'd love to play. I just can't get her mum to countenance the idea!

They're quite civilised in Truro, what with Starbucks and Sainsburys. We like the latter, very nice class of people shop there. Further west we've still got Home & Colonial and Liptons. I'm not complaining mind you, the Rugby's good. I understand Truro's a soccer place . . . can't you get your daughter interested in a man's game?

the whistleblower Wed, 30 January 08 20:33 GMT

Chopper, as there was no rugbyrefs forum to post to, I took myself down to Truro to watch my daughter play soccer. Was surprised to find the locals were very friendly and had only one head. You've been leading us all astray all these months!

I imagine Robbie has forgotten to pay the gas bill (or they won't accept Australian dollars!)

Where's the Rugby Refs forum gone?

the whistleblower Wed, 02 January 08 08:50 GMT

Has there ever been an ERSC forum? Certainly those who access the forums via the Community Rugby site will not have seen one - at least, not in the last several years.
