Sorry if this is re-hashing a previous question but will I be able to print the entire Continuum from this website as I was able to when it was presented in.pdf format? Thanks

I think there's no chance at all of this. The RFU is plainly overloaded in keeping up with the ELVs and I just can't see them changing anything else this year.

WB I thoguht I'd typed etc :)

Nick ... yep me too but CRG has a study starting (or in progress not sure who with but I sense it was acadmeic sports colege or similar) to look at Mini rugby development and I doubt that much will change until that is finished. I do hope that we'll all get an opportunity to contribute to this as there is a lot of sense coming from this board.

Russ,

I will be very disappointed if there are no changes at U12, which has been discussed at length on these pages.

Other elements of Continuum rugby "touched" by the ELVs are:
- no gain in ground from a kick when the ball has been taken into the 22m (15m in older Continuum age groups);
- scrum-half offsides at a scrum, when electing to retreat from the tunnel
- pulling down a maul
- receiver 2m from lineout
- defending hooker at the lineout - where must he stand? On the touchline?
- corner posts, for those few who use them.

I spoke with Colin Major (CRG) recently and he confirmed that the rugby regulations that come out each year will drive any changes to the continuum, particularly with regards to any ELV changes that will be needed.

In effect the summary is that continuum will not change much except for those elements 'touched' by ELV's ... 5 metres behind back foot at the scrum for defenders.

It was also suggested this would happen in time for the season (but I bet it'll be very close!)

How likely is it that the latest continuum will be published prior to the start of the season? It seems that every year it comes out after the season starts, which isn't a great deal of help when you're supposed to be the font of all knowledge for kids and parents alike.
