Overseas and Incoming

Tour Approvals will now be administered by Nicky Cook of the Tournaments & Competitions Department. Nicky joined the RFU on the 9 January 2007 from Fulham Football Club, and has responsibility for National League Registration and overseas & incoming tour approvals. Nicky can be contacted on 0208 831 7993 or via email [].

Incoming Tour Application Form

The Governance Committee and Management Board have approved an amended RFU Incoming tour application form to ensure that all incoming teams are aware of the regulations they are playing under and their disciplinary obligations. Schedule 1 of the amended form should be completed by every member of the incoming touring party prior to the first touring fixture.

A hard copy of Schedule 1 one should be sent to the Rugby Football Union in order for records to be kept up to date.

RugbyFirst Update

Over 500 clubs are now using the web based system to add and manage membership in their club, some 26,000 people have been added to the system by these clubs; 212 adult registrars and 176 youth registrars have registered over 6,000 players through the system. These figures have grown weekly since RugbyFirst was launched as clubs have undergone training through the CB Champions, who have been doing an exceptional job with their clubs.

CBs will now find that the RFU Questionnaire data (where appropriate) that has been submitted by clubs on the annual return is in the ''club profile'' section of the system and is available for search and analysis by CBs. We hope that this steady increase in usage will continue and we would ask that you take positive steps to encourage your clubs to use the system.

De-duplication of the database is being worked through at present to remove the anomalies and duplication and we expect around 150,000 records will be consolidated from the total of around 700,000 currently in the system. This should be completed by the end of the month. The RugbyFirst team led by Nick Bunting would like to thank you for your continued support.
