Please would you be kind enough to communicate this clarification from Rosie Williams to relevant contacts: "All clubs and teams playing womens and girls rugby must be affiliated to the RFUW. This enables not only the proper regulation of the women's game but also access to playing opportunities and support.
"Only players from affiliated clubs will be able to participate in RFUW Leagues and competitions including all Cups, Regional 10s, Senior Leagues, National 7s, County Rugby, Regional Rugby programmes, Player Development Academies Talent Development groups/Schools of Rugby, Super League/Super 4s, England Clubs who are affiliated are invited to attend County Club forums/ WAGRAGs (local action groups), County or Regional Development Training- such as Club Development and coaching workshops and the Regional Clubs conferences.
"Each affiliated team also has access to, the New Club Packs, WRDM support, posters, regular newsletters and updates and many other resources. Revenue raised from affiliation fees is invested directly back to grass roots development through the many programmes out lined above. Due to ongoing partnership working with the RFU there is no longer a direct cost to RFUW clubs for insurance."
Workforce Development Research
We have commissioned Sport Structures to carry out comprehensive research into the training and support rugby volunteers want and need. We would really appreciate your help to get as many volunteers to complete a short on-line survey.
The feedback will help shape our volunteer programmes until the end of the Strategic Plan in 2012 so it is important we get a wide representation of views.
