CB Orientation Day
We are delighted that Rob Udwin, Chairman of the Community Game Board has agreed to be a key note speaker at the induction day for new CB Volunteers Tuesday 13 October 2009 in the Presidents Suite/Council Room/Members Lounge at Twickenham. This is a great opportunity to network with volunteers and staff at over 20 market stalls. RWC 2010
With the Women's Rugby World Cup only 12 months away, the RFUW have recruited 12 volunteer Legacy Project Officers to plan and deliver projects across the country in the build up to the event, supported by Sport England"s Small Grants Fund. Projects at schools, clubs, colleges and in local open spaces, will raise awareness of the World Cup and contribute to the growth of the sport through four themes: More Volunteers, More Players, More Competition or More Sustainable Clubs. Seal of Approval
Since April 2009, nine clubs have achieved Whole Club Seal of Approval accreditation. Congratulations go to Mansfield RFC (NLD) and Knutsford Rugby Club (Cheshire), the most recent recipients, who join Windsor (Berkshire), Fylde (Lancashire), Ilkley (Yorkshire), Frome (Somerset), North Dorset (Dorset & Wilts), Grasshoppers (Middlesex) and Sidcup (Kent). July saw Charlton Park(Kent), Brixham (Devon), Longton (Staffordshire), Wolverhampton (Staffordshire) and Nottingham Moderns (NLD) successfully achieve Mini & Youth Seal of Approval for the first time. Thank you to all the club & CB volunteers and to the Rugby Development Officers who will be helping another 46 clubs become Whole Club Seal of Approval accredited over the next few months. National U17s Competition

RFU Handbook and Yearbook 2009/10
Copies of the new season's Handbook and Yearbook were despatched to clubs w/e 14 August and 10 copies were distributed to CB Honorary Secretaries. Community Rugby Diary 2009-10

This is Rugby
As you know CBs have been invited to purchase 'This is Rugby’ branded collateral with their toolkit funding. There has been a delay in signing off the identity guidelines which we expect to resolve in the next three weeks. We will then be able to provide CBs with details of the collateral that may be purchased.
Veterans Rugby
The 1st Barcelona International Veterans Rugby Festival is taking place on 16/17 October 2009.
Centenary Dinner
A reminder that Council Members are entitled to 25% discount off packages for the Centenary Dinner being held in the Rose Suite in the south stand on Monday 2 November. Please email centenary@therfu.com if you would like to book a place.
Centenary Training Day
Twickenham Stadium opened its doors on Wednesday 12 August for the first of the centenary events. Thousands of fans descended to take part in the family fun day, which culminated in an open training session at 2pm with the England senior and Saxons players, followed by a signing session. Injured soldiers from Headley Court also attended and were greeted by a standing ovation.
