Teaching and Learning

The RFU continues to produce guidance, information and tools to help teaching and learning in schools. The teaching resources contained on these pages will give you information to support improved learning across the whole school day. The ready-made downloadable teaching resources and tools are based on the national curriculum and have been written by teachers for teachers.

The practical teaching elements in the Physical Education resources are aligned to the RFU coaching structure and our elite rugby sports science team have shared their expertise and advice on fitness.

Cross curricular resources launched for the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand helps teachers of all levels and experience to deliver engaging lessons. The profile of the Rugby World Cup will switch students onto rugby union and provide a ready-made catalyst for teachers to engage them across many curriculum subject areas.

Physical Social Health Economic education resources can be used not only for students interested in rugby union but across subject areas, in school assemblies and with parent engagement.
