Performance Pathway

If you are talented and have the neccesary determination, you can go all the way to a full England Students cap.

Every December, England Students regional trials are held, for which each player must be nominated via the SU/AU officer, the 1st team coach or the team captain. This process is started by notification of the trial date and nomination document within a BUCS send out.

Players that are playing within the BUCS Premiership leagues are looked at on a weekly base by the home and away coaches and a set of performance marks are recorded at each match that is played.

The regional England Student selection process (South/Central/North) then select 25 players who are invited to attend the first trial (2 full days), usually based within the Midlands area. An extended training/trial squad is then invited back to a further session in early January (2 days).
