Reporting An Incident
If you have any concerns about a child in the first instance contact your Club Safeguarding Officer or your Constituent Body Safeguarding Manager who will be able to advise you further.
An Initial Issue Concern/Reporting Form (MS Word DOC 42kB), should be completed when you have any concerns relating to the behaviour of any child or adult involved or spectating at your club. These may include general concerns about a child’s welfare, concerns about bullying or poor practice, suspicions or allegations of misconduct or allegations of abuse.
You may find it useful to refer to pages 16 and 17 of the Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults in Rugby Union Policy and Guidance (PDF 959kB) for further guidance.
In all cases if you are not sure what to do contact either the NSPCC 24 hour freephone helpline (0800 800 500) or you may leave a message on the RFU Safeguarding Line (0208 831 6655) and a member of the Safeguarding Team will respond.
