and concerts are a success. This is particularly important when they take place on consecutive weekends, as with The Police concerts and the Guinness Premiership double header, where the change overs are often complicated and test the skills of all those involved. We should also not forget to mention the excellent work of our honourary stewards who continue to provide an excellent service to visitors to the stadium.

The pitch has also continued in excellent condition despite the change in the growing conditions due to construction work, the heavy rainfall and the extra concerts. The Stadium’s Head Groundsman, Keith Kent, has also been out to clubs around the country helping to advise on all aspects of pitch management and in particular covering flooding suffered by many member clubs.

With construction work and a busy schedule of concerts and matches it is indeed pleasing to note that Twickenham Stadium has retained its exemplary health and safety record both for match days and on non match days. We have again improved upon our British Safety Council rating and we continue to work with the Police and Safety Authorities to ensure we operate a safe and secure venue.
