Qualifying rounds: Saturday 24th April: Staines RFC and Old Millhillians RFC Sunday 25th April: Twickenham RFC and Enfield Ignatians RFC Middlesex County Rugby Football Union are delighted to announce that the William Webb Ellis Trophy will be visiting the Stoop Memorial Ground which is hosting for the fifth time the Middlesex National Club 7s Finals on Sunday 9th May. This year the competition takes on a new look with clubs from National Division One, Two and Three, and Regional Division One having been invited to join Middlesex Associated and Affiliated Clubs in the qualifying rounds. Winners of the qualifying rounds will get the chance to compete in the finals with the winners of the cup gaining automatic entry to the London Pride Charity Middlesex 7’s, which will take place at Twickenham on Saturday 14th August. The finals day, in association with Greene King IPA, will provide a first class spectacle of sevens rugby. The day will comprise of a Main Cup (knockout and finals) competition and the semi finals and finals of the Bowl, Plate and Vase. There will be entertainment for all the family; many activities for children, international player visits, a community rugby 7s tournament, and all day bars and barbecues. Tickets are now available for the finals day by calling the NEC Harlequins ticketline on 0871 871 8877. Tickets cost £10.00 for adults and £5.00 for children. Also available through Sportingclass are a number of hospitality packages, which are housed in the executive suites overlooking the pitch. |
