Sanderson wins appeal

Alex Sanderson, of Sharks, has won his appeal against a yellow card issued in the Zurich Premiership match against London Irish on 5th October 2002.
Sanderson's appeal was heard by a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel at the Brighouse Holiday Inn hotel in West Yorkshire on Tuesday 3rd December and the yellow card will be expunged from the club discipline register.
The panel, which comprised Robert Horner (chairman), Brian Baister and Robin Wannop also adjudicated on the following cases:
Rob Newsham of Waterloo was suspended for five weeks for striking an opponent with his head contrary to law 10(4)(a) during the National League Three North game against Darlington Mowden Park on 16th  November.
Newsham, who denied the charge, is suspended from 4th December to 7th January 2003 and he will be free to resume playing on 8th January.
Dan Brown of Darlington Mowden Park was suspended for three weeks for striking an opponent during the National League Three North game against Waterloo on 16th November.
Brown, who admitted the offence contrary to Law 10 (4)(a) admitted the offence. He is suspended from 4th to 24th December will be free to resume playing on 25th December.
Damien Hamilton of Preston Grasshoppers was suspended for four weeks for striking an opponent contrary to law 10(4)(a) during a game between Preston's Development XV and Fylde's second XV on 9th November.
Hamilton, who admitted the offence, is suspended from 10th November to 7th December and he is free to resume playing on 8th  December.
Jon Sewell of New Brighton, succeeded in his appeal against a yellow card issued in the National League Three North game against Hull Ionians on 2nd November. The yellow card will be expunged from the club discipline register.
Lee Waddell of Preston Grasshoppers succeeded in his appeal against a yellow card issued in the National League Three North game against Scunthorpe on 16th November. The entry will be expunged from the club register.
