Local Leagues and Merit Tables for Male Adult Players in England
The RFU English Clubs' Championship caters exclusively for first teams but there are currently 70 or so competitions, other than knock-outs, that admit second third and other teams.
Blackman Action, aimed at arresting and reversing the decline in the amount of rugby being played, sees such competitions as one means of achieving this aim.
To help in the running and the establishment of leagues and merit tables the RFU is starting a page on its website, within the on-line communities section, that will list contacts and outline information regarding these competitions.
This will enable the experience already gained in running them to be shared, which should lead to improvement and the introduction of new competitions in areas that do not already have them.
If you are an organiser of such a competition please send the following information for season 2001/2002 to email@example.com
