Three week ban for Pearce

11 November 2002

Gloucester's Ed Pearce has been suspended for 21 days after pleading guilty to a stamping offence in front of an RFU disciplinary hearing.

The player appeared before a panel chaired by Jeff Blackett (Royal Navy), assisted by Peter Budge (Surrey) and Bob Taylor (East Midlands) at the London Bloomsbury Holiday Inn on Monday 11th November.

The charge was brought against him by the Premiership Citing Officer following the game between London Wasps and Gloucester at Adams Park on October 16.
Pearce is suspended until Monday 2nd December and he will be free to play on Tuesday 3rd December.

He is ruled out of Gloucester's Zurich Premiership matches at Leicester on 15th November, at home to Leeds Tykes on 24th November and London Irish on 30th November.
