London Wasps team for Calvisano match

12 December 2003

London Wasps Director of Rugby, Warren Gatland, has named his side for Saturday's Heineken Cup clash against Italian side Calvisano. Gatland has made several changes to the side that beat Perpignan last weekend.

England World Cup heroes Lawrence Dallaglio and Josh Lewsey will both be rested. Mark Lock comes in for Dallaglio while Shane Roiser returns in place of Lewsey. Gatland has also opted to rest Craig Dowd and Simon Shaw. Tim Payne and George Skivington will start in their places respectively.

Joe Worsley, who suffered a thumb injury last weekend, went for a cautionary scan earlier this week that fortunately revealed it only a dislocation. His hand is still swollen but the England flanker will take his place at No.6.

Peter Richards will start at scrumhalf ahead of Rob Howley and Kenny Logan returns to the wing after missing last week's game due to a back strain. Alex King captains the side.
