Daily Mail Under 18s Cup preview
The Daily Mail Under 18s Cup crown has been a title that has always eluded St. Peter's 6th Form College, but the Gloucester school believe they have a fighting chance of finally shaking off the Daily Mail shackles this season.
Head of rugby at the school, Dave Pointon, is confident his team of youngsters finally have the caliber to book their place in the Twickenham final and lift the illustrious Daily Mail trophy.
Pointon said: "I really fancy our chances this year. We have got the potential to get to Twickenham and win this tournament.
"With four boys already playing representative rugby for Gloucester in the Guinness A league, we have got a very strong squad and they are as eager as I am to nail this tournament once and for all.
"After several years of reaching the semi-finals and the quarter-finals on a consistent basis and producing several junior international players we want to go that one step further and actually win this tournament and who knows this could be out year."
But before St. Peter's can think of celebrations they have an important round six tie to overcome. Pointon's side will either play Magdalen College or RGS High Wycombe, the latter being a bogey side for the Gloucester lads.
Pointon added: "The next round could be pretty interesting. I am not bothered as to who we play though to go to RGS High Wycombe and beat them on their own turf after they have knocked us of the competition so many times would be nice."

Daily Mail Under 15s Cup preview
After five rounds of competition Millfield are just one of a handful of schools who have slogged their way through from the tournament curtain-raiser.
The Somerset side, who were under 15s Cup finalists in 2003, has racked up 184 points en-route to the sixth round and have conceded just ten. Understandably Trevor Greenhill, head of rugby at the Somerset school, is delighted.
He said: "We have got this far the hard way. We have battled our way through five rounds and for a side that are far from the strongest we have ever had they have done remarkably well.
"I am delighted for the boys because, although we have always been consistent contenders in this competition and have often made the semi-finals, the boys have managed to match the efforts of other years when they knew themselves it would be extremely hard this year."
Millfield face either Sherborne School or Truro School away in the next round and even though Greenhall knows that will be a challenge in itself he is hoping the boys can secure their place in the quarterfinals.
If they do that Greenhall could be returning to his old hunting ground of Colfe's School, where he teached for nine years.
He added: "Ideally I want us to get through to the quarterfinal stages. That would be a great achievement for the lads and, personally for me, it will see me return to my old school where I have many happy memories. Whether we won or lost that game I would love to see our boys play them."
