Former Wales prop Jenna Studley has been appointed the new RFU Rugby Development Officer for Leicestershire and Rutland.
Jenna, 26, succeeds Nick Scott who has taken up a new post as one of the RFU's regional Coach Development Officers. She becomes the only female Rugby Development Officer in the country.
Jenna, a native of South Wales, began playing rugby at five for the Newport HSOB club where she played in a boys' team. She joined the Blaenau Gwent women's rugby team at 16 and quickly won her first international cap.
She played in the 1998 World Cup in Holland but retired from international rugby when she began studying at Loughborough University.
During her time at Loughborough, where she read PE, Sports Science and Recreation Management, Jenna worked part-time in the community department at Leicester Tigers where she was responsible for the club's special schools programme.
She subsequently worked as rugby co-ordinator for the Active Sports programme in Leicestershire and then as a Community Rugby Coach in the county.
In her new role Jenna will be responsible for helping to promote and develop rugby at all levels in Leicestershire and she will work from offices on the Loughborough University campus.
