St. Ives receives RFF award

St. Ives RFC have benefited from a Rugby Football Foundation award which has allowed the Cornwall club to purchase a brand new scrum-machine, a replacement boiler and fund essential roof repair work.

The Powergen South West 2 West club have been awarded a grant of �2921.

St. Ives RFC are just one of 330 clubs to benefit from the Rugby Football Foundation - a charitable trust funded via the RFU's Community Capital Fund - which awards interest free loans of up to �100,000 and grants of �5,000 to clubs at level 5 clubs and below in the English Clubs Championship Structure.

Since the launch of the Foundation in 2003 it has paid out over �1m in matching grants to some 240 clubs and has awarded interest free loans of nearly �5m to 90 clubs.
