18 December 2006

December 18th, 2006 -

Children at Aldermaston RFC were given an early Christmas present on Sunday (December 17th) when local radio station, 2-TEN FM, donated brand new rugby equipment to the Berkshire club.

Aldermaston RFC are just one of the recipients of the 2-TEN FM Kids general grants scheme and they have been awarded a grant of 428 to purchase some much-needed specialist equipment for their youth rugby team.

The equipment was officially presented to the club at Aldermaston's annual Christmas party with London Irish mascot Digger.

Emma Saunders, Charity Manager for 2-TEN FM Kids, said: "We have been fundraising hard throughout the year to enable us to support a number of children's groups across Berkshire and North Hampshire.

"The Aldermaston rugby club are just one of our lucky recipients and we are thrilled to be able to help them in this way - we know this equipment is going to make a huge difference to the coaching of their youth team."
